“When talking to Dr. Fox about teaching and learning, you really feel like anything is possible. ”

— Anthony Voulgarides, Teacher, NYC Public Schools

What is Dream, Collaborate, Create?

Dream - A vision is an energizing force and a guiding North Star. To be attained, it must be shared with the universe.

Collaborate - Partnerships are synergistic multipliers - accelerating the magnitude and speed at which dreams are realized.

Create - Do the work. Show up consistently with intent. Breathe life into your dreams.

From New York City to Chile and beyond, Jared’s work has inspired individuals, organizations, schools, and communities.

Following a visit to Santiago, Chile, where Jared spoke and facilitated a workshop for educators as a guest of the State Department of the USA, a school in the country’s southern district crafted a curriculum where students turned trash into treasure - creating a composting program and hosting a recycled materials fashion show for their community.

Originating from a week-long interdisciplinary class with his history teacher colleague, the Clean Air Green Corridor continues to inspire and inform today by providing students working in partnership with Futures Ignite at the Washington Heights Expeditionary Schools (WHEELS) in Northern Manhattan the opportunity to learn about and advocate for the resolution of the environmental injustices facing their neighborhood.

Working in collaboration with researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Jared helped design and train educators to implement an NCI-funded cancer risk-reduction middle school curriculum. Using his experience crafting project-based, inquiry-driven curriculum that also focused on providing students with a deep content understanding and connection to expert practitioners, the program has hundreds of students and continues to expand across the five boroughs of NYC.

Visiting the Children’s Education Department at the New York Botanical Gardens (NYBG), Jared merged climate literacy with the Active Hope framework, deepening the Garden’s mission and focus on environmental action in its home Borough - The Bronx. A post-workshop report shared by a department Director stated, “Jared helped staff… adopt a shared language that now informs program materials and marketing efforts… [and] represents a significant step forward… advancing staff expertise, enriching program content, and fostering environmental connection”
