From New York City to Chile and beyond, Jared’s work has inspired individuals, schools, and communities.
Following a visit to Santiago, Chile where Jared spoke and facilitated a workshop for educators, a school in the country’s southern district crafted curriculum where students and the entire community turned trash into treasure - creating a composting program and hosting a recycled materials fashion show.
Originating in 2017 from a week-long interdisciplinary class with his history teacher colleague, the Clean Air Green Corridor continues to inspire and inform today by providing students working in partnership with Futures Ignite at the Washington Heights Expeditionary Schools (WHEELS) in Northern Manhattan the opportunity to learn about and advocate for the resolution of the environmental injustices facing their neighborhood.
